NIAO began in Ireland with an heirloom Aran jumper belonging to our founder Niaobh's grandfather. A piece that held comfort and the kind of craftsmanship that lasts.

Each piece is designed with inherently soft, pure fibres. We craft in small batches, alongside family run farms and small studios across Ireland, Italy and the United Kingdom.

The first NIAO collections explore the expressive potential of fine wools. Their sculptural softness, their capacity for colour and flow, and their ability to hold the feeling of a life well lived. 

Our pieces are made to be worn often, kept well and passed on.
